The Company, L S KAI HEARING CARE (now known as L S
KAI CARE) was founded by Dato Paduka Dr. Joseph Lim, MB, BS (Western Australia), FRACS (Gen. Surg. &
ENT) and Datin Lim Siew Kai, SRN (Melbourne), SCM (Perth), Cert. Audiology (RMIT, Melbourne), in November 1992 as a
sole proprietory company.
The initial objective of the company was to provide hearing care for hearing
impaired patients (hence the name) in support of JOLIM Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist Clinic and Surgery, which
was established at the same time. Subsequently, the Company's Registration was amended to become a trading company
for hospital supplies including Pharmaceutical, Medical and Laboratory products.
However, as the company grows steadily and expands into diverse areas, the
Company's Registration was changed in 1998 to L.S.KAI CARE ,
dropping the word "HEARING" to allow a wider scope of trading activities.
Real trading activities started two years after registration, in November
1994, when quality products had been identified and business relationship with our global suppliers had been
established. In the short span of four years, the Company has established itself as one of the leading suppliers of
the Ministry of Health. To date, the company, is the sole distributor and agent for over forty companies. The fact
that all of these companies have supplied some of their products is a testimony of the company's dynamic trading
activities.
